Our 12-inch block patterns come in both center and corner orientations to give you maximum design flexibility. Try arranging blocks all on-point or create a medallion using corner designs radiating at an angle from the center. You can select one flower and repeat it throughout a quilt — perhaps changing the blossom colors — or choose a whole garden to fill a bed top. If you want to use Susan's fabric choices, a number of the patterns are available as complete, prewashed kits.
Each design generously fills a 12" square — so you can use up to a 14" background square and still have a well-balanced block — making pillows that much easier.
The patterns work well for other techniques such as stained glass appliqué. Make a wholecloth quilt by simply quilting a few of the flowers, use the designs for embroidery as in redwork, or skip sewing and decorate items of clothing using Paintstiks.
