To help you design your next project, we invite you to look at a few ways to use one or more of our patterns. Remember, our 12-inch block patterns come in both center and corner orientations to give you more design options. There are endless ways to mix, match and combine any of the patterns into beautiful designs. Select a few flowers or a whole bouquet — let your imagination be your guide!
Medallions
Medallions can be used to make a large pillow or to serve as the focal point of a quilt. This arrangement can also be the center of a tablecloth or a simple, four-block wall hanging. They're easy to make with “corner” 12-inch block designs. Choose a favorite and appliqué four on a single background.
Holly Medallion
Created using 90-60C Holly-corner. The block was rotated 90° each time.
Cattail Medallion
For a totally different look, this medallion uses 90-11C Cattail-corner. Again, the block was rotated 90° each time.
Borders
Floral borders can be useful in so many ways. They are perfect for framing the edges of a quilt or wall hanging. They can also be an artistic part of the lattice between blocks to increase the finished size of your piece. Here are a few simple ideas:
Morning Glory Border
This lovely border was created from the two central parts of 90-55 Morning Glory joined end-to-end and repeated.
Hydrangea Border
The graceful arch of 90-53 Hydrangea forms a wider and rather Victorian border.
Strawberry Border
90-56 Strawberry re-arranged. This design would be perfect for the pillow area of a bed quilt or for a table runner.
Wall/Bed Quilts

90-35C Tea Rose-corner, 90-30C Carnation-corner, 90-39 Tiger Lily,
90-32 Narcissus, 90-37C Poinsettia-corner, 90-41C Hibiscus-corner,
